    How it works

    1. Pick your document

      Choose the country and document from the list. The size, head height and background colour are set for you.

    2. Add your photo

      Use a photo taken against a plain light wall, facing the camera. The tool finds your face and lines it up with the guides.

    3. Check and adjust

      Make sure the top of your head and your chin sit on the red lines. Drag, zoom or straighten if needed, and replace the background if your wall isn't plain.

    Passport photo sizes by country

    The most common passport size photo is 35 × 45 mm. The US, and anyone applying to the US, uses 2 × 2 inches. A few countries have their own size, like Canada (50 × 70 mm) and China (33 × 48 mm).

    What is the passport size photo size?

    It depends on the country. The most common size is 35 × 45 mm (3.5 × 4.5 cm), used by the UK, Europe, India and Pakistan. The US uses 2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm). Pick your document above and the tool sets the size.
