About this site

OnlinePassportSizePhoto.com is a free tool for making passport, visa and ID photos at home. It started from a simple frustration: paying for a photo at a shop, then finding out the size was wrong for the form.

The tool runs entirely in your browser. When you add a photo, it's read and edited on your device. Face detection and background replacement use small machine-learning models that download to your browser; your photo itself is never uploaded.

Where the requirements come from

Every document page lists its source, usually the government department that issues the passport or visa. We check the requirements regularly, but rules change, so always compare with the official page before you apply.

Not a government website

We are not connected to any government. Using a correctly sized photo doesn't guarantee it will be accepted; the issuing office makes the final decision.
